Ede Poly students Protest over Indefinite strike action (photos)


The Students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede in Osun state, have staged a massive protest against the management of the institution.

Reports obtained by NAIJAPARRY have it that the students are enraged by the unending industrial action by the management’s staff.

According to insiders, the students are most livid because those who are ready to graduate have been made to wait in the school since their lecturers no longer come around.

“Lecturers have not been paid and students are protesting because it’s time for resumption and graduates are being delayed as a result of the strike,” a source within the school premises said.

Students gather to protest about the unending strike they have been enduring.

It was also gathered that the students have protest to the School gate leading to Rector’s office  and have barricaded adjoining roads to the school’s entrance as well.

Students have put on the Aluta spirit as they no longer want to stay home.

As at the time of filing this report, NAIJAPARRY sources on ground in the school told our correspondent that the students are likely to leave the entrance to the school anytime soon.



NAIJAPARRY will keep monitoring the incident and file updates as soon as they come in. Updates from the protest have it that the students are still going about their agitations in a peaceful manner and no casualty has been recorded so far.
