Wolverhampton Wanderers manager, Paul Lambert, has confirmed that Carl Ikeme could miss the rest of the season.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper has been out of action, since sustaining an hamstring injury while on international duty with Nigeria.
Speaking to The Express about Ikeme’s fitness Lambert said: “He’ll definitely be out at Leeds. I’m not sure if he’ll be back this season, it’s not one where I’m thinking ‘he’s going to make it’. I’m not sure.”
Ikeme has played a key role for Wolves this season, playing 31 games in all competitions.
News about his injury will also cause Nigeria coach Gernor Rohr to be worried, with the Eagles preparing to play South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in June.
